What is this you ask?

Yes for three hours from 9pm-12pm on Tuesday night a little grey mouse kept Marc and I chasing him. Marc first spotted him run across in front of the fireplace and bookcase into Justin's room-ggrrrrrr a mouse not in my house. We talked for 20 minutes or so to speculate how he got in. Eventually we got the guts up to go into Justins room and two and half hours later the mouse was under a bucket and on his way OUT!In the pictures the mouse is stacked under Justin's lego bucket and the empty dishwasher soap bucket. He was dumped in the street, hopefully not injured.

And the Christmas Tree goes up

Well we have a "fake" christmas tree and it went up the other day. The kids had loads of fun dancing and putting ornaments on etc. etc. We only had two santa hats so they took turns-no it's the question of the day " Is it Christmas tomorrow" Wow only 22 more days of that-oh well I do love my kids and Christmas !:)

Another drive to the bird refuge-

A little killdeer glaring at me to go away and a sparrow pecking at the ground :)

My backyard

Well this isn't exactly my backyard, but it's just a foot from my fenceline-if the fence weren't there it would feel like my backyard. I LOVE this view-this year the ducks have joined in too and I'm so happy! :)

Why my girls?! Is it in the Genes?

Well Madilynn has followed in her sisters footsteps.Hadley was the leader, cutting her pony tail off at 3.5 years old, then Eric took a "little" chunk out of Madilynn's hair about a year ago. Then Lauren on her own at her mom's house has cut hers 4 times, the picture is now the end result of those 4 cuts, looks kinda retro 80's punk in Lauren's defense. But Madilynn well there just wasn't a fix, have a looksee for yourself I know you aren't her mom so you won't cry but you have to admit it's sad. :(

Sadness-

I lost a part of me this weekend. My camera was broken by my very sorry innocent 12 yr old. He tried shoving the CF card in the wrong way :( He feels so bad. I couldn't stand it so I ordered a new one yesterday morning. :) What will I do until it gets here. Just kidding, I know I have plenty to do but I do feel so lost without it. Actually I've got two blankets to make, but I'm waiting on my new sewing machine to start one of them...............Hmm what a dilema, do you think possibly I'm stuck cleaning house :)

Catching up again-Justin and I took a drive early Saturday morning

We went for a few walks on the local wildlife refuge and here are some of our images. We had so much fun. I love him so very much, were two peas in a pod, he gets me and I get him. We both laughed until our tummies hurt, so much for trying to attract wildlife. :)

Catching up

A few weeks ago we spent a couple of days at the coast, it was wonderful. The weather was so warm most of the kids took their coats off. We went to Lincoln city, we were so lucky to find a glass float. The city of Lincoln City puts out glass floats on the beach to attract tourists to the beaches in the winter. It's beautiful, I'll post a picture later.

About a month ago when I colored my hair, Hadley got a hold of the bottle of hair dye and well poor Casey got the brunt end of it :( Anyway I finally remembered to take a picture. So here's our poor pup.

Look At those Cheeks!

When I was pregnant with Madilynn I had a 3-D ultrasound at 34 weeks. The first thing the lady said when the baby came into view was "Look at those cheeks". It's still the same. She's beautiful and today she wanted her picture taken and she wanted to ham it up.

Here she is, my little girl who is in the throws of the terrible two's but what in the world would I do without her?

Yeah

I went to pick up Justin for a day visit on Friday and I got an e-mail later telling me I could keep him for the whole weekend. Yipeeeee- I get him next weekend too. Justin is my 11 yr old and I just love having him around. I was going through some things and found some ultrasound pictures from when I was 12 weeks pregnant with him. So here is a current one for comparison. ;=)

Up almost all night~~

I was up most of the night last night editing pictures for a friend. His wife is on her way to Iraq for the national guard. He brought me this huge multi picture frame to fill and asked me to make them all black and white. I thought I would post a sampling of the pictures, since I've put so much work into them :)

Blessed

This morning Marc woke me up at 4am and wanted to talk, he talked and talked and talked and we never went back to sleep, the kids got up at 7. Eric got a haircut for picture day before the sun even came up and everyone was bathed by 7:30. I would say it's a miracle day. Now at 11:30 everyone is exhausted :) The girls and I went to the park for pictures. They are so beautiful, my new lens shows them off so well too! Here a couple from the park. :)

Today's weather was extreme, but beautiful!

I do love Oregon. Every time I've lived away from Oregon I am always anxious to come home. Fall is so wonderful. Today my pain was out of control and going out and taking a drive helps me keep my mind off of things. I went for two drives today. I found some beautiful settings.
My poor kids don't understand when I am hurting. I'm working on being more patient with them and trying to help them understand. With the rainy weather they want to play rough inside and rough and tumble with me and I just can't do it most of the time. I hope they understand when they get older that I love them regardless.
Here are a few pictures from today's drives.

Whirlwind in October

Yesterday I couldn't get a hold of Marc in the mid afternoon Marc, I was having a major PMS day and was certain he was ignoring me. Turns out he was test driving a Miata. Yep he bought it. His dream for 10 years now, it's green and it's in our garage. So he got a car I got some new camera gear! Yahoooo. I went in after my dream L series canon lens and was convinced that I could save $200 and get an equal and in some ways better lens. So with the $200 that I "saved" I bought a killer bogen tripod! :) I'm sooooo excited to get out there and try my new toys out for real. Here are some shots today. One with an old lens and one with my new lens.

Busy, Busy!

I cannot believe September is almost over. Justin in seventh grade, Eric in 1st, Hadley my kinder and Madilynn she's in the "terrible twos' Class. Madilynn and I just got back from a trip to the dr's for a stubborn head cold and I walked out with a diagnosis of Rheumatoid (sp) Arthritis. I'm shocked, but it explains so much of my pain and life over the last 2.5 years.I'm certainly going to learn all I can to keep my body in the best shape it can be.

On a side note, last night at bedtime I was admiring Marc's dedication to the kids and reading the book of Mormon stories to them. It was so cute. Madilynn sure gave daddy bunches of love afterwards in appreciation! :)

Sanctuary

Today I was able to get out and go to the bird and wildlife refuge. My girls love going and are learning that if they are quiet the birds stick around. We saw Herons, blackbirds, pipers, dunlins, deer and all sorts of others. I love it! Here are a few pictures from our drive.

More hairdos

>Well, today I finally realized I wasn't going to be able to afford a professional cut and color, SO I did both myself. Tell me what you think, be honest! :)
Terrible blurry picture by the way :) Deleted the picture, I decided it was too embarrassing!

Haircuts and Hairdo's

Today I started cutting Hadley's hair and got so frustrated, every time I would snip she would move it was getting shorter and shorter. So I called my friend Heidi who is a hairdresser we ran down the street bare feet and all and got Hadley's hair fixed which turned out quite cute!
I also put Madilynn's hair up in her first set of real piggytails! Adorable aren't they?!
Eric is getting along well at school. His teachers said she sees lots of imporvements over the summer and feels confident he'll makes a lot of social improvements this year. Not that Autism goes away, but they can learn coping mechanisms :)
